The story follows nine birds â Northern cardinal Red, yellow canary Chuck, Mountain bluebirds Jay, Jake, and Jim (The Blues), common loon Bomb, chicken Matilda, galah Stella, Jamaican oriole Bubbles, emerald toucanet Hal, and Northern cardinal Terence â as they use their slingshot and unique abilities to defend their eggs from pigs that wish to steal and eat them. The eggs serve as a symbol of hope for their future, with the belief that they would one day restore peace to the island[12] with the assistance of birds such as the Mighty Eagle and Silver. The pigs are headed by King Pig Smooth Cheeks (the game's primary adversary) or King Mudbeard (a prior antagonist of the film series who served as Smooth Cheeks' father in the games[13]). With the former, he has Corporal Pig, Foreman Pig, Chef Pig, and Minion Pigs as his henchmen.
