4) Ozai the Firelord. He is an absolute jerk of a parent and a human. I was expecting that Aang would violate his "thou shall not kill" pledge and murder this man. However, living in his disgrace is a more appropriate punishment. 5) Sokka. *sigh* That was such an unpleasant moment, and I applaud Zuko for being unfazed. Additionally, I feel compelled to commend Sokka for getting away with this on a Nick program.

When I first saw the teasers for this program, I knew it would be something special. When I initially started watching this program, I realized Nick was onto something. I simply hoped they'd continue it and make it interesting. So far, Nick has done an excellent job. Avatar: The Last Airbender is Nick's newest program, in which the network abruptly shifted away from classic American comedic cartoons and toward DC's Teen Titans and Cartoon Network's Samurai Jack. A series of anime episodes sprinkled with humor set against the backdrop of a planet on the verge of doom.
Mai is more than her icy, stern demeanor. Once a trusted confidante of Azula's, she specialized in concealing a variety of weapons, from knives to shuriken, under her garments. And she is mostly a counterbalance for Azula's frenzied spitefulness and Ty Lee's vivacious vitality. All of this fits her name well, since Mai means âsleeve of a robeâ in Cantonese and resembles âmeimeiâ in Japanese, which means âdarkâ or âinvisibleâ. While they portray her as innocent on the surface, they also portray her as having an underlying innocence.

Ty Lee was a devoted confidant of Azula, the princess of the Fire Nation and a childhood friend. In contrast to Mai, she is a whirlwind of activity who flits between being an attention seeker and an airhead. As a former acrobat, she uses her skills for sinister purposes. Ironically, her name is rendered as âcalm and beautifulâ in the Taiwanese dub. While she is stunning, she is everything from serene, what with her frantic energy and cheerful demeanor. However, after the conflict, she joined the Kyoshi Warriors, which provided her with the necessary tranquility.
The first season of the series served as the foundation for M. Night Shyamalan's 2010 live-action feature The Last Airbender. It was supposed to be the first installment in a trilogy of films, each based on one of the three television seasons. The film received widespread criticism for its writing, acting, whitewashed cast, and Shyamalan's direction; it received a 5% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and five Razzies at the 31st Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture,[112][113][114], and some critics dubbed it one of the worst films ever made. [115][116][117] Although the film was initially titled The Last Airbender, the title was changed to avoid confusion with James Cameron's film Avatar.
