Since 2004, the Badische Zeitung, in collaboration with the Pdagogischen Hochschule Freiburg, has regularly offered the Lesefrderprojekt Zeitung in der Schule, abbreviated ZiSch, to fourth-grade students. The ZiSch-Klassen spend several weeks in class collaborating with the Badische Zeitung, a Redakteur visits the classes, and the students are invited to see the Badische Zeitung's printing facility. On Saturdays, the Sch14lers' articles will be published in the Badische Zeitung on a ZiSch-page. From Monday through Friday, each ZiSch-Sch14ler receives the newspaper in school, and on Saturday, the BZ is delivered to their homes.
