Christian Dior was the ideal designer. Since his House was created in 1946 and sanctified by the New Look movement, his imaginative spirit has never stopped to extol the virtues of women around the globe. âFabric is the only conveyance for our aspirations (â). In summary, fashion originates in a dream, and dreaming is an escape,â he said. Season after season, this extraordinary tradition is reinterpreted by the House's Creative Directors, who, from haute couture to fragrances, bring the Dior enchantment to life with daring, savoir-faire perfection, and an unmistakable beauty of gesture. We made no effort to enter any businesses. We were actually just here to view the Arc de Triomphe and, as it turned out, to eat some ridiculously pricey pizza. During the little time we were on the street, it was quite congested. This is, without a doubt, to be anticipated in touristic regions of Paris. The Arc de Triomphe, which we decided to climb at the last minute, was well worth the wait and was the highlight of Avenue des Champs Elysees. With our Paris Pass, we received skip-the-line permits, and my teenage children and I really enjoyed the Arc. It was a pleasant surprise and well worth the climb to the top. From the top of the Arc, the view of the city was breathtaking. Personally, I would relegate shopping to the Marais or another retail area.
