The original Mamma Mia film was released in 2008, and the sequel will hit cinemas on July 20, 2018! Mamma Mia is not just a stunning film musical about youth and love; it is also a fashion statement. Here are some suggestions for dressing up in the style of the film's protagonists, reminiscent of the 1970's in Greece!
Sam undoubtedly had a checkered background (see: Young Sam, garbage human), but he is also evidence that individuals can grow and learn from their errors. While Pierce Brosnan is off painting underwhelming Bob Dylan portraits, Sam is killing the architecture game with his stunning home and clearly values sentimentality by returning to the home on the hill where his penis temporarily broke Donna's brain and stocking his laundry chest with hilariously large photographs of Young Donna. Even though he entered Sophie's life rather late, he seems to be the most engaged father. While he is really supportive, he also seems to recognize that she has to be allowed to make her own choices and errors. Sam was bad when he was younger, but Old Sam is a guy who has had to eat crow, has learnt from his mistakes, and has evolved into a better human being. Additionally, unrequited love earns a bucketload of bonus points in my book.
I was just thinking about how adorable bell bottom jeans are until I realized they were worn by the three girls in their legendary performance of "Here We Go Again!" I like how their jeans included ruffles at the bottoms: it was such a unique take on bell bottoms. (I also discovered two pairs on Etsy (here and here), but they were too large to use in the widget.
