Goofy is a canine anthropomorphic character. The creature, initially dubbed "Dippy Dawg," made his debut in Mickey's Revue, a 1932 animated short. Months later, the same creature reappeared in other cartoons as a younger version, and by 1934, he was known as âGoofy.â In 2012, an online myth claimed that Goofy was designed after a kind of Scottish cow, however this has since been debunked. Some of the misconception may originate from the fact that Goofy is sometimes shown as romantically interested in Clarabelle Cow. Clarabelle, on the other hand, is plainly a cow, as seen by her horns, small ears, and prominent nose, none of which Goofy has.
